Large-Scale Investigation and Dataset Creation of Daily Behavior Data
Overview
We are seeking participants to provide one year of iPhone Health app data for large-scale daily behavior research. This study is conducted by the Sezaki & Nishiyama Laboratory at the University of Tokyo's Center for Spatial Information Science.
Eligibility Requirements
Participants must meet all of the following criteria:
- Ages 18–59
- Regular iPhone user
- 1 or more years of step count data recorded in the iOS Health app
Study Procedure
The entire process takes approximately 10–15 minutes of active work.
- 1 Register on the study website
- 2 Review and provide informed consent
- 3 Install the MyLife+ research app via TestFlight
- 4 Extract health metrics (steps, heart rate, noise levels) from the past year
- 5 Complete surveys on demographics, residence, lifestyle, and personality
Data Collected
- Annual step counts, heart rate, and ambient noise levels from the Health app
- Survey responses covering residence, living situation, body measurements, and psychological traits
Compensation
Participants will receive 100 yen in Amazon gift cards upon valid data submission.
Privacy
This research has undergone ethics review. Personal information is anonymized, with identifying details stored separately.
